I brought in my Seiko 6139 chronograph — it had been sitting in a box for years because the pusher felt completely dead. Thanakorn took it apart, found the levers were corroded from moisture, and sorted it over about three weeks. The pusher click now feels exactly right. The service notes they returned were genuinely useful.

Battery service on my wife's dress watch. Quick to book, straightforward conversation at drop-off. The gasket replacement was included without asking — which I've had to specifically request and pay extra for at mall counters. Collected the same week, runs fine. Will come back when the automatic needs a proper service.

My Valjoux 7750 was running about 45 seconds fast per day — not unwearable but annoying. Brought it to Escapenix after a recommendation from a collector friend. The rate is now within 5 seconds across positions. Communication during the wait could have been slightly more frequent, but the result was worth it.

My husband's Tag Heuer automatic was losing power reserve — he wore it every day and it still barely made it to evening. After the self-winding tune-up, it holds charge well past the next morning. The price was reasonable and the turnaround was just under two weeks, which matched what they told us at intake.

I was in Bangkok for ten days and noticed my Longines chronograph's reset was not returning to zero properly. Arrived at Escapenix without an appointment, explained the issue, and they had the watch assessed the same afternoon. The repair was done before I left. The adjustment was clean and the reset now snaps back precisely.

Straightforward battery service on a Seiko quartz I've had for fifteen years. I appreciated that they told me the crown seal was also worn and included it in the gasket replacement without charging separately. The watch is still running as of this review, about five weeks later.
Three Watches, Three Different Stories
A 1972 Heuer Carrera with a column wheel that had seized
The Challenge
The chronograph pusher had no engagement — pressing it did nothing. The watch had been stored for an extended period without winding. Previous cleaning attempts elsewhere hadn't resolved the issue.
What Was Done
The column wheel was removed and found to be seized with dried lubricant. The column and levers were ultrasonically cleaned, dried, and re-lubricated with period-appropriate oil viscosity. The brake spring was also replaced.
The Result
Chronograph function fully restored. Column wheel engages cleanly, reset returns to zero, both sub-dials register accurately. Rate within 8 seconds per day. Returned with full function checklist.
"I wasn't sure it was repairable. They were honest about the risks before starting, which I respected. The watch is wearing again."
An ETA 2824 powering a Swiss dress watch with poor reserve
The Challenge
A well-used office watch worn daily. The owner noticed it was stopping by 11pm even on active days. The rotor still spun visibly but the power reserve had dropped from a manufacturer spec of 38 hours to around 16.
What Was Done
Rotor inspected — bearing worn but rotor itself undamaged. Both reversing wheels showed significant wear to their pawl springs. Wheels replaced with new components. Rotor reinstalled with fresh bearing.
The Result
Power reserve restored to 36 hours in use. Owner reported the watch running through the following day and into the next morning. Rate verified within 10 seconds per day on the timing machine.
"They explained exactly which parts were worn and why. I understood what I was paying for, which isn't always the case."
A Citizen Eco-Drive with moisture inside the crystal
The Challenge
Client brought in for a routine battery service. On inspection, condensation was visible inside the crystal — a sign the crown gasket had failed at some point. The previous battery change hadn't included a gasket replacement.
What Was Done
Case opened, movement dried, moisture source identified as crown tube wear. Crown gasket replaced along with case-back gasket. Movement condition confirmed adequate. Case-back pressed. Water resistance verified.
The Result
No further condensation. Watch checked clean inside. Crown seal holding to basic spec. Client advised to avoid submersion given the age of the crown tube, which was noted in the service record.
"I didn't know there was water inside until they showed me. They fixed it and were upfront about what the watch could and couldn't handle going forward."
