Terms & Conditions
Escapenix — 132 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110
Last updated: 1 June 2025
These terms apply when you engage Escapenix to inspect, service, or repair a watch. We have written them as plainly as we can. If anything is unclear, please ask us before leaving a watch with us — we would rather clarify in advance than cause confusion later.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By leaving a watch with Escapenix for inspection or service, or by submitting an enquiry through this website with the intention of doing so, you agree to the terms set out here. If you are acting on behalf of another person or an organisation, you confirm that you have their authority to agree on their behalf.
These terms do not affect any statutory rights you have under Thai consumer protection law.
2. Estimates and Quotes
Before any work begins, we will provide an estimate of the cost and time required. Estimates are given in good faith based on a visual inspection of the watch. They may be revised if, once the watch is opened, we find unexpected conditions — worn components, previous non-standard repairs, or corrosion, for example.
If a revised estimate is materially higher than the original, we will contact you before proceeding. You are always free to decline at that point, in which case we will reassemble the watch as far as practicable and return it to you. A handling and inspection fee may apply in such cases; if so, we will tell you the amount when we contact you.
4. Turnaround Times
Turnaround estimates are given at the time of booking and are based on our current workload and the nature of the service. They are honest estimates, not fixed commitments.
- Chronograph Service & Adjustment — typically three to four weeks
- Self-Winding Tune-Up — typically one to two weeks
- Quick Battery & Reseal — same-week collection in most cases
If a watch requires parts to be sourced, or if we discover additional issues during work, we will let you know as soon as possible and give you a revised estimate. We will not rush work that should not be rushed.
5. Pricing and Payment
Prices for our standard services are shown on this website and are inclusive of labour for the described scope of work. Parts, if required, are charged separately and quoted in advance.
Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept cash and common electronic payment methods; please ask us at the time of booking if you have questions about payment options.
Prices are stated in Thai Baht. We do not charge additional fees for standard payment methods.
6. Care of Your Watch
We treat every watch in our workshop with the same attention we would give our own. We maintain a secure premises and handle watches individually. A receipt or job sheet is issued for every watch we accept.
We ask that you disclose any known issues, previous repairs, or sensitivities about the watch at the time you leave it with us. This helps us work carefully and avoids unexpected complications.
We do not take responsibility for pre-existing cosmetic or mechanical conditions that are present when the watch arrives and are not part of the agreed scope of work.
7. Service Warranty
Our Chronograph Service & Adjustment is accompanied by a 12-month service warranty covering the work we carried out. This means that if a fault arises that is directly related to our work within that period, we will assess and address it without additional charge.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from a knock, drop, or submersion beyond the watch's stated water resistance
- Issues arising from a subsequent repair or adjustment carried out by another party
- Normal wear to components that are expected to require periodic replacement
- Faults unrelated to the work we performed
Other services carry implied standards of workmanship but do not include a formal written warranty period unless stated at the time of booking.
8. Collection and Unclaimed Items
We will contact you when your watch is ready for collection, using the contact details you provided. We ask that you collect the watch within 30 days of that notification.
If a watch has not been collected within 90 days of the completion notification, and we have been unable to reach you during that time, we reserve the right to apply a storage fee. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before doing so.
Watches held for more than 12 months without contact may be subject to disposal under applicable Thai law, with any proceeds applied first to outstanding service fees. We will take every reasonable step to avoid reaching this situation.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the value of the service fee paid for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including sentimental value, loss of use, or loss of income associated with a watch.
In the unlikely event that a watch is damaged while in our care due to our negligence, we will work with you to find a fair resolution. We carry workshop insurance and will act in good faith.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Thai law.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
We genuinely hope that any concern can be resolved with a conversation. If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — we would always rather sort things out directly.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time your watch is accepted for service is the version that applies to that service. We will not apply revised terms retrospectively to work already in progress.
The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated.
